A variety of services are available to meet the needs of individuals, organizations, and the community at large. Individual counseling and therapy services may be utilized for personal growth and development or for the management of severe mental health symptoms related to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder. In addition, services are frequently provided to address the specialized needs of individuals diagnosed with a developmental or intellectual disability. Specialized Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) services are available for those with significant impairments in the ability to regulate their own emotions, behaviors and relationships with others. DBT services couple weekly individual counseling with weekly skills training groups and telephone skills coaching as needed. These services are provided through collaboration with the DBT Center of NJ and through the Intellectual Disabilities DBT Program of Central Jersey offered by SEED services. Professional and Organizational Development is also available through clinical consultation and training. Consultation is frequently targeted toward behavioral healthcare organizations, with an emphasis on enhancing organizational self-assessment practices, and refining culturally competent leadership and service delivery. Training may also target working with specific client populations. In addition, consultation and training on the effectiveness and implementation of DBT programs and skills training may also be arranged. Community Education and Outreach on topics related to building understanding and acceptance of mental illness, borderline personality disorder, and developmental/intellectual disabilities can be arranged. Educational seminars related to multiculturalism, diversity and mental health as well as mindfulness in relation to stress management, relaxation and healthy living are also available. |
